Rachel Kelly to sing in La Calisto in Wigmore Hall

Rachel will join La Nuova Musica under the directorship of David Bates on Monday the 28th November in Wigmore Hall, tickets available here.  Rachel will sing the part of Giunone in Francesco Cavalli's La Calisto, first performed in Venice in 1651. The opera is a blend of both comedy and tragedy with music of rich sensuality bringing to the modern day the hedonism, pleasures and charm of the Venetian baroque era.
